Every carrier connection runs through a modular adapter. That's the same architecture that lets us go deep on LTL and parcel today, with truckload in production, and lets Crucible expand into new freight modes without a rebuild.

Most visibility platforms show you what has already gone wrong. Sentinel is built to find it before your client does, and before the situation is out of options.
The carrier network is built from direct API integrations with FedEx, UPS, DHL and USPS for parcel, plus XPO Logistics, ABF Freight, Old Dominion (ODFL), FedEx Freight, CCFS, A. Duie Pyle, Southeastern Freight Lines (SEFL), Saia, Ward Transport, TForce Freight, AAA Cooper Transportation and Peninsula Truck Lines for LTL freight, with EasyPost as a parcel tracking fallback. Route intelligence pulls from GeoApify for baseline ETA calculation, TomTom for live traffic and road incidents, and Visual Crossing for weather forecasts up to 10 days out.
For JIT manufacturing operations, Sentinel includes Buffer Erosion detection. Clients define their safety stock buffer and alert threshold when registering a shipment. Sentinel then fires a critical alert if ETA slippage erodes into that buffer before the shipment arrives.

Client-configured safety stock thresholds applied to every inbound shipment. If ETA slippage erodes into your buffer window, Sentinel fires a critical alert before a line-down event occurs.
Tell Crucible when the plant needs a shipment and how many hours a recovery takes. Each time it checks the carrier, Crucible compares the estimate to your deadline and emails your operations team when the margin falls below the time you would need to fix it. Carriers that report a date but no time are judged conservatively, and the alert says so.
Every serious exception opens a ledger entry with the best recovery option's price attached as an estimate. Your team confirms the actual cost and one of eight causes, and only confirmed entries count toward the totals, which export to a spreadsheet. IATF 16949 expects automotive companies to monitor premium-freight occurrences from their suppliers. Crucible keeps the record: every occurrence, its cause, who owned it, and what it cost.
Carrier intercept → route rerouting recommendation → carrier change. Optimus evaluates the options, requests the intercept where the carrier supports it, and gives your team the best available alternative.
Intercept requests are supported for FedEx shipments, with UPS intercept available on request. Hold in-transit shipments before they reach the wrong destination.
Shippo and EasyPost power real-time rate comparison across parcel carriers, and Optimus rate-shops ABF and XPO for LTL freight. It recommends the best option, and your team approves the booking.

We designed our Universal Shipment Intake API specifically to eliminate that barrier. It sits on top of whatever ERP or TMS your operation already runs (SAP, NetSuite, a proprietary TMS, a spreadsheet) without replacing any of it.
